Good signs for DVD Replication 2009
DVD, Blu-Ray and CD replication specialists Digital Disc Duplication wish all clients and future clients a very Happy New Year and wish for a prosperous 2009 to all! With the doom and gloom that 2008 provided for many, it is likely most people will be hoping for economic recovery as soon as possible so that some kind of normality can be resumed!
However 2008 did not turn out that bad for DVD, Blu-Ray and even CD sales! Official figures released show an increase in DVD sales over 2007 and high percentage increase (as to be expected for a new format) for Blu-Ray. The year produced the fastest selling DVD, (Mamma Mia) and the best selling Blu-Ray title (The Dark Knight) and all signs are showing for continuing growth for BOTH platforms.
The cost for CD and DVD replication is lower than ever before as the technology for each platform is about at peak and royalty rates are lower. Blu-Ray has a bit of catching up to do as yet but the time will come soon when advances and re-couped costs allow for production costs to fall as well so in all it does show positive signs for our industry in 2009!
